How to find an inmate
Puerto Rico has no county jails, so people arrested in Aguadilla are held in Department of Correction and Rehabilitation institutions, including facilities in the Aguadilla area. Call DCR headquarters in San Juan with the person's full name and date of birth to find out which institution holds them. People in federal custody can be found with the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator.
Visitation
Each DCR institution runs its own visitation, and visitors usually must register in advance and bring valid photo ID. Call DCR or the specific institution to confirm the visiting schedule, registration steps, and dress and conduct rules before you go.
Bail and bond
After an arrest in Aguadilla, a judge of the Puerto Rico Court of First Instance sets bail (fianza). Bail can generally be posted in cash or through a licensed bond, and pretrial services may recommend release conditions. Contact the Aguadilla judicial region court or DCR to confirm how and where to post bail.
Mail and money
Mail must be addressed to the person's full name and inmate number at the specific DCR institution where they are held. DCR sets the rules for commissary deposits and accepted payment methods. Confirm the current mailing address and deposit process with DCR before you send anything.
